Krishna Upon Padma Base Statue Handmade Bronze lost wax cast Sculpture Bali Art
Vintage Krishna Bronze Statue standing on a Lotus Cushion playing his flute. This sculpture was crafted by the lost wax cast method in Bali.
The details are amazing on this beautiful depiction of Lord Krishna as a young cow herder playing his flute. He is embellished in the typical Majapahit Empire style of the early Hindu Culture in Java. Beautiful aged oxidized patina has developed.
We found this statue in Bali on a recent trip from an antique shop there. I return to Indonesia often to source unique and one of a kind art and ethnography.
Beautiful statue for your collection. Sure to be stunning where ever you choose to display these amazing sculpture.

We have worked directly with Balinese artist and crafts people since 1988. During Maine's freezing cold winters we return to Bali and our island home. While there we collaborate with the Balinese (mostly family & friends) and create special offerings for our shop. We believe our offerings should be culturally significant using local sustainable materials and craftsmanship whenever possible. Thus in turn keeping the arts alive in ever evolving fast changing Bali in the world of globalization, while enriching the lives of our family & friends whom we work with by creating a market for the beautiful art of Bali.
